Since 2005, the Mille Laces Kite Crossing has been the premier snowkite competition event in North America, showcasing the best athletic talent in top kiters from over 13 countries and 15 US states. The event is a three-day festival atmosphere of freestyle, short races, exhibitions, lessons, and the main event: a race across Lake Mille Lacs and back—28 Miles!
Today, the Kite Crossing exists as the sport’s longest-running snowkite event in North America and the most challenging endurance race.

Mandatory Kiters meeting at 9:30 AM on 03-Mar-2018
The race committee has scheduled the Kiters meeting for 9:30 Saturday morning. It is mandatory attendance to qualify as a starter. Instructions on application of chipped timing will be given at the meeting. For those driving to Mille Lacs that morning, please get an early start.
